SI Imaging Services Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “SIIS”) establishes and discloses the following guidelines for processing personal data in order to protect the personal data of the data subject and to handle related grievances quickly and smoothly pursuant to Article 30 of the Personal Data Protection Act.

What data do SIIS collect?

SIIS collects and uses only the minimum number of personal data items necessary for personal data processing purposes.  SIIS collects the following data:

SIIS securely stores your data through encryption on the server with strict physical access and controlled access over the network.

2) Technical measures: management of access rights such as personal data processing system, installation of access control system, encryption of unique identification information, installation of security programs

SIIS will keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. After the purpose of collecting and using personal data is achieved, SIIS destroys the information without delay. However, if related laws and regulations need to be preserved in accordance with the regulations, SIIS retains personal data for a certain period stipulated by related laws. In the case of a member who has not withdrawn, the retention period can be kept longer than the retention period, and records that have passed the period will be destroyed when the customer requests withdrawal of consent.

How do SIIS erase your data?

SIIS destroys the personal data without delay when personal data becomes unnecessary, such as the elapse of the personal data retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.

What are your data protection rights?

SIIS would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request SIIS for copies of your personal data pursuant to Article 35 (Access of Personal Data) Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the「Personal Data Protection Act」. When SIIS is requested to view personal data, SIIS will notify the information subject without delay.

However, in cases falling under any of the subparagraphs pursuant to Article 35 (4) of the Act, the information subject may be notified of the reason and access may be restricted or rejected.

  • The right to correction and deletion – In accordance with Article 36 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Data) Paragraph 1 of the Personal data Protection Act」, you have the right to request that SIIS correct any information you believe is inaccurate or right to request that SIIS delete your personal data. You also have the right to request SIIS to complete information you believe is incomplete.

However, if your data is specified as the object of collection in other laws and regulations, the deletion cannot be requested.

When deleting personal data, SIIS is taking measures to prevent recovery or reproduction.

  • The right to suspend processing – You have the right to request suspension of processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 37 (Suspension of Processing of Personal data, etc.) of the Personal data Protection Act」. However, pursuant to Article 37 (2) of the Act, in cases falling under any of the subparagraphs, the request for suspension of processing by the data subject may be rejected.

  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that SIIS transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
